Overview
All Surfaces is seeking a payroll professional who is interested in the potential to expand their career into benefits administration. We are currently in the process of converting from ADP to Paycor. This person will be integral in the setup of the Paycor payroll and Time/Attendance process and procedures.
Work Location: Local to Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL with a hybrid work schedule.
Job Summary
Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for all 500 employees. Maintain payroll records and ensure all employee information is up to date. Audit and review quarterly and annual tax filings. Create ad hoc payroll reports. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process multi-state bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Create and run detailed post-payroll reports on bi-weekly basis.
- Track and administer payment of bonus reward plans.
- Reconcile monthly invoicing and billing of benefit plans against payroll deductions.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring all employee information is current.
- Audit and review quarterly and annual tax filings for accuracy and compliance.
- Create and generate ad hoc payroll reports as needed.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and other standards.
- Perform routine internal audits of HRIS and payroll files.
- Document procedures to streamline and standardize process and procedure.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Act as a backup to the Benefits manager.
- Assist in creating and communicating appropriate training and policies.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll processing role.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality service to employees.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
- Legally permitted to work in the United States.

Salary : $70,000 - $95,000
