Position Overview : The Accounting Manager will take ownership of the payroll system and collaborate with the team to provide excellent customer service to employees, ensure accurate payroll processing, manage the company’s benefit programs, and maintain the company’s accounting and financial processes to ensure accurate financial reporting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to) : Payroll : Process multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including : Reviewing and importing hours from the time and attendance system Verifying management review and approval of time data Entering tax and direct deposit information Administering regulatory requirements (e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and support orders) Managing adjustments to pay as necessary Implement and maintain payroll processes Evaluate and implement payroll system upgrades and changes Maintain employee records in the payroll system Administer time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees Prepare Quarter-End filings for state and federal governments (Payroll, Workers Compensation, 401(K), etc.) Prepare Year-End filings for state and federal governments, including W-2s Benefits : Ensure compliance with governmental regulatory mandates and ensure filings are performed as required Plan, conduct, and report results of audits to ensure accurate enrollments and dependent information for each employee Process monthly billings from providers, review for accuracy, and approve payments Resolve discrepancies with carriers and payroll Accounting : Manage all aspects of accounting (billing, accounts payable, payroll, tax forms, month-end close, cost accounting, reports, inventory reconciliations, bank account monitoring, etc.) Oversee daily responsibilities of account support staff Manage journal entries, bank statements, and reconcile accounts for monthly / annual closings Assist in the development of reports for management or regulatory bodies Review company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances Use accounting IT systems to facilitate processes and maintain records Prepare Financial Statements Prepare Account Reconciliations (checking, credit card accounts) Process Expense Reimbursements (ACH Backup) Record Deposits (Backup) Prepare Year-End reconciliation and documentation for CPA to prepare taxes Qualifications and Experience : At least 5 years of experience administering payroll and benefits processes Experience with multi-state payroll compliance Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, and time and attendance systems Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment High level of interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential situations Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll, benefit processes, eligibility, and enrollment rules Exceptional analytical skills and ability to generate useful reports from data Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines Detail-oriented with strong proofreading and editing skills Creative outlook with a problem-solving attitude Excellent time management and follow-through skills Strong focus on customer service High school diploma required Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and E-Verify checks Strong computer and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong command of the English language Job Requirements : Full-time, 40-hour work week Organized and detail-oriented Strong work ethic Regular attendance and punctuality Self-starter, eager to learn, and take on new tasks Benefits : Competitive wages (based on experience) Paid vacation and sick leave Medical and dental health insurance 401(k) retirement plan Equal Opportunity Employer Statement : All Systems Electrical is an equal opportunity employer and adheres to the protections provided by federal, state, or local laws for all employees and applicants.
