Veterinary Assistant/ Veterinary Technician (Surgical):
- Assist with restraining animals during exams and procedures to ensure the safety of the patient and staff.
- Prepare exam rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
- Assist during procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and diagnostic tests.
- Administer medications or treatments under the direction of a veterinarian.
- Operate basic lab equipment/ collect and prepare samples for analysis.
- Assist with radiology and other diagnostic procedures.
- Educate pet owners on general care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive care practices.
- Support the veterinary team in any tasks needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Required experience:
- Prior experience working with animals in a veterinary setting either as a veterinary assistant or a technician (at least three years of experience)
- Ability to safely restrain animals and assist with procedures such as administering medications and performing diagnostics.

Looking for a full-time veterinary assistant or technician to join our team at All Tails Vet located in Johnson City and Jonesborough, Tennessee. Our practice focuses on wellness exams, preventative medicine, diagnostics, general surgeries, and making veterinary medicine affordable for our clientele. In addition to dogs and cats, we treat a variety of exotic pets and some small farm animals. Experience as a surgical veterinary assistant or a veterinary technician is required for this position. An ideal candidate is someone that is adaptable, composed, and has an easy-going demeanor.
