We are seeking reliable and motivated temporary cafeteria workers to assist in food service and cashiering duties in a school cafeteria. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, excellent customer service skills, and a friendly attitude when interacting with students and staff.
Responsibilities : Food Service :
Serve meals to students and staff efficiently while following portion guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of serving stations.
Assist kitchen staff with light food preparation as needed.
Cashiering :
Operate the cash register accurately and process student meal transactions.
Ensure proper handling of money, meal cards, and payment systems.
Provide friendly customer service during meal times.
General Duties :
Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and work areas before and after service.
Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Assist with inventory, restocking, and kitchen clean-up.
Report any issues or concerns to the cafeteria supervisor.
Requirements :
Previous experience in food service, preferably in a school or cafeteria setting.
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must pass a background check (mandatory for school employment).
Possession of a current Food Handler Certificate is a plus.
Schedule :
Monday through Friday
Shifts typically range from 6 : 30 AM to 2 : 00 PM (depending on school hours).
Salary : $17
