Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EMT-Basic to join our emergency medical services team. As an EMT-Basic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical assistance, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transport, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide pre-hospital care to patients in various settings.
- Perform triage assessments to determine the severity of patient conditions and prioritize treatment accordingly.
- Administer basic life support measures, including CPR, oxygen therapy, and wound care.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and respiratory rate.
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in accordance with protocols and standards of practice.
- Document patient information accurately and comprehensively for continuity of care.
- Collaborate with other emergency responders, including paramedics and hospital staff, to ensure effective patient management.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine.
Experience
- Previous experience as an EMT-Basic is not required (We offer very extensive training)
- Strong skills in heavy lifting are necessary for safely handling patients during transport.
- A solid understanding of emergency medicine protocols and procedures is required.
