Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide hands-on care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will assist consumers in their homes or community settings with daily living activities, skill-building, and fostering independence. This role includes both CLS and Respite Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist consumers with daily living activities, including meal preparation, laundry, routine household care, self-care, and money management, as directed by their Individual Plan of Service (IPOS).
- Support consumers in community integration through training, guiding, and assisting with shopping, socialization, and relationship building.
- Provide Respite Services to relieve caregivers, including assistance with self-care activities during the day or evenings.
- Complete daily paperwork accurately.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to follow Medicaid guidelines and maintain accurate documentation.
- Must complete mandatory trainings within 30 days of hire.
- Must adhere to Medicaid documentation and billing requirements, including not providing services during medical settings, school activities, or field trips.
- Staff are unable to exceed 40 hours per week.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay range $14-$20 per hour, with paid training hours at $12.48 per hour.
- All employees are eligible for:
- 403B Retirement Plan participation (non-matched program).
- Paid Time Off (PTO) after 90 days.
- Holiday pay (time and a half) for hours worked on designated holidays (Working on these holidays is not required).
- Full-time employees (32 hours/week) are eligible for:
- Group health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of employment.
- Life insurance after 90 days.
- Employee-Sponsored Accident/Disability Benefits after 60 days.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible scheduling based on consumer needs.
- Shifts are typically in the consumer’s or family’s home or community settings.
