Job Summary
All-Ways Care Services is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to children or adults with physical, cognitive and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and in the community. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and monitoring, with a focus on ensuring the well-being and safety of the individuals.
Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including hygiene and personal care, morning and or evening routine, and community outings
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care
- Monitor and document changes and daily progress in daily service notes
- Implement care plans tailored to each individual's specific needs
- Ensure a clean and safe and engaging environment
- Assist with meal preparation
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals
Experience
- Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Consumer confidentiality
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals safely is not required, but can be helpful
