Essential Duties
- Operate the Roller — using rollers or drums to compact dirt, aggregate, or blacktop top create a smooth surface and specified grading.
- Moving and positioning the machine in response to signal from crew members.
- Establish a rolling pattern and determine the paving width.
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred and one (1) to two (2) years of related experience in these fields
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work in a number of diverse locations is pertinent, as work locations may change daily.
- Expected hours: hours will vary by job, location and season.
- Good interpersonal and team building skills
- Must have adequate transportation to work
- Adhere to safety procedures/guidelines at all times
- Punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction for the success of the operations.
