Essential Duties
- Break up and remove existing surfacing before paving.
- Manual labor such as digging, leveling and spreading dirt, gravel or earth and other construction materials by using hand tools.
- Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake.
- Ability to operate motorized equipment (skid steer, excavator, concrete buggy)
- Maintain a clean job site
- Conduct documented pre-shift inspections of equipment for safety and mechanical defects.
- Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
- Perform additional duties as required or directed by their immediate supervisor or other manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) - two (2) years of recent construction experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation O Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Have good grade perception
- Ability to work in a number of diverse locations is pertinent, as work locations may change daily.
- Punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction for the success of the operations.
