HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

We are a 56-year-old family-operated HVAC company that specializes in sales, service, installation and maintenance of both residential and commercial heating and air conditioning equipment. We have an immediate need for a Top Residential/Light Commercial Service Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience in all phases of troubleshooting and repairing residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This position offers top level pay and benefits to those qualified.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete HVAC service calls for residential and commercial customers. Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
• Know how to establish customer rapport to educate customers on the right products and services.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best maintenance plans, repairs or system replacements.
• Be professional and knowledgeable to gain new referrals and repeat business.
• Work alongside customer service representatives and dispatch team members
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck.
• Participate actively in all training exercises
• Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
• Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, and options sheets.
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential service (EPA Certification)
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license, possess, and maintain a satisfactory driving record
• Must be able to multi-task and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through ability
• Highly motivated, self-starter who is flexible and has a positive attitude
• You are required to have knowledge in Air Conditioning, Heat Pumps, Gas/oil boilers & furnaces, Controls, service agreement sales, tech turnover leads
• NATE Certification a plus
• Available to work Saturdays if needed
• Available for an emergency service on call rotating schedule
• Available for overtime
• Must have your own tools
