Residential AV Technician:
Job Summary:
- As an AV Residential Installation Technician at All Wired Tech (AWT), you will play a key role in providing high-quality AV and technical services for residential clients in Daytona Beach, Florida. This position involves hands-on installation, programming, and maintenance of AV systems, including mounting TVs, surround sound setups, and programming universal remotes, to deliver an exceptional entertainment experience. This role involves traveling to clients' homes, troubleshooting issues, and providing personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction. You’ll apply technical skills in wiring, setup, and system integration, working both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Manual installation of surround sound systems, TV mounting, programming, LED video walls, projectors/projector screens, video conference systems, LED lighting, and programming of universal remotes.
- Drive company vehicle to customers' premises.
- Terminant cables, using hand tools or mechanical equipment.
- Clean or maintain tools or test equipment.
- Lift up to 50-100 lbs
- Climb poles or ladders, or entering tunnels, trenches, or crawl in small or confined spaces
- Train customers in the use of products.
- Perform basic troubleshooting
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Associates degree is encouraged but not required.
- CTS: certified technical specialist encouraged but not required.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check and MVR (driving record) check.
Experience:
- Audio/Video Technician: 1 years (Preferred)
- Wire Pulling/Fishing : 1 years (Required)
Knowledge:
- Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of drills, saws, cutters, wire strippers, and common hand tools (screwdriver, box cutters, plyers, etc.), including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Audio/Video Installation: Knowledge of audio and video equipment, installation procedures, and setup techniques, including mounting TVs, configuring surround sound systems, and calibrating home theater equipment for optimal performance. Familiar with wiring, cabling, and connectivity solutions to ensure seamless integration between components.
- Programming and Automation: Proficiency in programming universal remotes and integrating smart home devices, allowing for centralized control of home entertainment systems. Knowledge of various AV control systems and automation platforms, enabling efficient, user-friendly system configurations.
- Safety and Compliance: Understanding of safety procedures and industry standards to ensure installations meet regulatory requirements, minimize risk, and protect equipment and property.
- Wire Pulling: Skilled in pulling and routing wire and coax/network cables to meet specific installation needs.
