What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medicaid Paralegal position at Allaire Elder Law, LLC?
This position is for a full time hire, starting immediately.
We are looking for a responsible team member to complete Medicaid applications. Legal experience valued but not required. If you have previous experience with financial records, Medicare, or Medicaid, that is a big plus though not required.
Responsibilities
- Take detailed minutes on incoming calls/materials
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Preparation of spreadsheets of current financial holdings
- Advise clients "how to" do various tasks needed to complete a Medicaid application
- Organize and analyze bank statements and other client records or documents
- Track deadlines and keep clients on task
Skills
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word , Adobe and Excel in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- High School degree
