The Facility Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians to deliver high-quality work.
- Schedule and assign daily tasks and projects to maintenance staff.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members to enhance skills and performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend professional development opportunities
Facility Maintenance Operations:
- Oversee the upkeep and repair of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, fire protection systems, and general infrastructure.
- Monitor the functionality of equipment and systems, ensuring they are operating effectively and efficiently.
- Perform or supervise preventive maintenance and repairs on all building systems and equipment.
Maintenance Scheduling and Prioritization:
- Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of facility systems and equipment.
- Prioritize urgent repair requests and coordinate with the team to address them in a timely manner.
- Ensure that maintenance requests and work orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure the facility complies with all applicable safety, environmental, and building codes.
- Enforce safety protocols and best practices in all maintenance activities.
- Conduct safety inspections and respond to any hazards or potential issues immediately.
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of fire safety and emergency systems.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Assist in creating and managing the facility maintenance budget.

- Manage inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring availability and proper stock levels.

Emergency Response:

- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or building operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.) and general maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards related to facilities maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
