The operator palletizer will stack and down stack fruit boxes throughout their shift. Assist with refilling material such as cardboard, strap machine, discard fruit and packing material as needed. Manually transfer fruit from packed boxes and relabel repacked fruit. Assist team members with tray filling, bagging and box filling per rotation as needed. They will work closely with the team members and other palletizers to ensure instructions are being followed and the repack line has fruit to repack. They will work closely with their lead and supervisor for instruction guidance. Must be willing to work independently and, in a group, setting. Communicate with other peers, floor leads and supervisors following the company’s policies and core values. Employee must maintain a positive professional attitude.
Essential Functions:
- Must have a flexible schedule which includes working 7 days a week, 10-hour shift, and some holidays maybe required
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Operate different equipment required for the position (Aporo, packing line and bagging machine)
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours or more
- Shook labeling
- Rotate packing line as needed based on demand
Required to:
- Lift, carry and push 0-25 lbs
- Lift, carry and or push 25lbs-45lbs or more
- Perform activities above shoulder level, at shoulder level and below shoulder level
- Multitask
- Work quickly and efficiently with both hands
