This position requires heavy physical duties on a variety of tasks which are generally either unskilled or semi-skilled in nature. Duties will vary depending on the type of work assigned to crew.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a crew of 3-4 technicians, providing guidance, direction, and support.
- Own and enforce safety on job sites, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols, including stop work authority when necessary.
- Organize and manage daily tasks, project schedules, and crew assignments.
- Read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings, work packets, and piping schematics.
- Oversee and participate in mechanical system installations, including ductile iron, stainless steel, PVC, copper pipe, and chemical systems.
- Perform layout work and ensure all systems are installed according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and solve mechanical and piping problems as they arise on-site.
- Supervise and participate in rigging, signaling, and handling of heavy equipment and materials.
- Perform soldering and pipe threading operations with precision.
- Oversee the installation of pipe supports, setting pumps, and process equipment.
- Ensure proper installation of pump pads and other mechanical components.
- Coordinate and participate in start-up procedures for mechanical systems.
- Provide accurate and timely as-builts and project documentation.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications at all stages of the installation process.
- Maintain a high level of communication with project managers, contractors, and other teams to ensure efficient progress.

Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in water/wastewater mechanical systems, with significant experience in process mechanical systems.
- GED/High School diploma or related work experience.
- Trade School a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
