Responsibilities
Allan Myers is looking for an eager, hard-working Surveyor Intern to assist and support in the planning and coordination of the surveying needs on heavy civil construction projects. Typical assignments are 3-6 months in length.
Responsibilities:
- Learns the details of the plans and specifications of the project assigned. Coordinate with the project team supervisor to prioritize tasks.
- Coordinate with operations on the project needs for equipment and labor.
- Actively seeking out opportunities to increase the Allan Myers survey function with value-adding activities, new technologies or ideas.
- Participates as required with the in-house pre-construction planning and development of the project schedule.
- Receive on-the-job training led by talented, passionate members of the Allan Myers team.
- Gain exposure to a large heavy civil construction project.
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying, Business Management, or another engineering related degree.
- Must be a collaborative team player.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
