What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Nurse position at Allbridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center?
Allbridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Columbus, Ohio is currently seeking an experienced Wound Nurse.
The primary purpose of your job position is to support the Director of Clinical Services in facilitating the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Clinical Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all time. You will work 2 days as a Unit Manager and 3 days on the floor, on call every other weekend!
Duties:
- Manage the work activities of the assigned department(s) to include the RNs, LPNs, and STNAs.
- Served as patient/family advocate to facilitate patient care, communication and resolutions of problems and ethical dilemmas.
- Ensure accurate, effective and pertinent communication for all staff and shifts as well as through the chain of command.
- Assist DON with promoting positive employee relations. Demonstrates leadership style that encourages staff accountability.
- Provides direct care to residents, as needed to maintain clinical skills.
- Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specifics competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure.
- Other duties as assigned
Certifications:
- CPR/First Aide
- Current nursing license in the State of Ohio
- RN preferred but not required
