JOB SUMMARY
Allbritten The Barefoot Plumber is expanding its services and is looking for a motivated and skilled Electrical Sales & Service Technician. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service and sales abilities. The Electrical Sales & Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and selling electrical services and products to residential and light commercial customers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Electrical Service & Repair:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide efficient, effective solutions.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain residential and light commercial electrical systems, including wiring, panels, fixtures, and appliances.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds local electrical codes and safety standards.
- Sales & Customer Relations:
- Provide professional, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers.
- Conduct thorough electrical system assessments and present findings to customers.
- Recommend and explain electrical products and services to meet customers' needs, promoting additional services and upgrades.
- Close sales by building trust and effectively communicating the value and benefits of Allbritten’s services.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service and follow-up.
- Address customer concerns promptly and effectively, providing solutions and support.
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with customers, fostering repeat business and referrals.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Ensure the proper use of safety equipment, tools, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, both on-site and in company vehicles.
- Technical Expertise & Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to provide the best service possible.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities provided by the company.
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Administrative Duties:
- Document all work performed, including diagnostics, repairs, and sales, using the company’s service software.
- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring availability for upcoming jobs.
- Collaborate with the Electrical Service Manager to ensure efficient scheduling and job prioritization.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND DESIRED SKILLS
- Must have own tools.
- Comfortable working directly with consumers in their home
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
- Ability to use Company-furnished technology
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Face to face interactive sales experience is ideal
- Can engage with their co-workers and are able to collaborate with their team to achieve goals.
- Multi-task oriented.
- Experience with Service Titan or other service-based management systems is ideal.
- Detailed and Goal orientated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Excellent customer service skills
- General construction knowledge.
- Electrical Sales
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma and/or GED certificate; or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an electrical service technician.
- Valid Driver’s License and must be insurable.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
- Push/pull up to 75Lbs.
- Ability to kneel for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 75 Lbs.
- Ability to squat consistently.
- Ability to consistently twist, stoop, bend/crouch, crawl, and reach.
- Ability to sit up to 8 -10 hours.
- Ability to stand up to 8 -10 hours
- Repetitive hand, wrists, arm and leg motion
PAY SCALE:
- $20.00 - $35.00 per hour; with an incentive pay based on individual’s performance up to 18% (calculated by the difference of hourly and incentive pay)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Field
- Working in private residences as well as some commercial
- Exposure to hazardous conditions, such as high voltage and heights, may occur while performing the duties of this job, the technician will be exposed to:
- Excessive heat/cold, inside/outside work, excessive noise, body mechanic repetitious, work
- Varies weather conditions (wet/dry surfaces), dust/debris, and confining areas of a home for short period of time.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibrations.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shocks
- Some products can expose you to chemicals including, but not limited to: Asbestos, Carcinogens, Phosgene Gas, Toxic Substances, which is/are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Mon – Fri.; 7:00am – 5:00PM / Weekends as needed
