What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA/HHA position at Allcare Family Services, Inc.?
Our PCA’s and HHA’s are responsible for assisting residents with support in maintaining their independence, safety and comfort. PCA's and HHA's will provide Personal Care services to individuals residing in the comfort of their homes. Some duties will include personal care tasks: bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, hair care, nail care, and shaving. Assisting and encouraging with Activities of Daily Living: eating, personal hygiene, medication and appointment reminders; light housekeeping & linen change, reporting changes to Supervisor as soon as possible, and other supportive services as identified in resident's Plan of Care.

- Strong prioritization and time management skills to provide services and document in resident's record.
- Ability to maintain in-service education hours as per NYS Department of Health.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of a NYS Department of Health approved Personal Care Aide (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) training program with certificate.
- Pass Department of Health and Criminal Background Checks.
- Medical clearance: physical and PPD within last 6 months, and proof of immunizations.
- Reliable personal transportation a must.
- Ability to maintain strong work attendance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Eighteen (18) years of age required, high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous home care experience, either professional,personal or volunteer preferred.
Ability to assist residents with all aspects of Daily Living.
Ability to frequently lift, move, and stand.
