Job Overview

Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide catheter care and support for individuals with specific medical needs.
- Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medical records.
- Assist clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or assisting with walking.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Support individuals with dementia through memory care techniques and patience.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or as a Home Health Aide is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medication administration is beneficial.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or dementia care experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
