TRAVEL Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)
Yuma, AZ
13-Week Contract
Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Charting System: EPIC
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.
Monitor fetal well-being using Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) – CPN Centricity system.
Assist in vaginal exams, scalp electrode placements, amnio infusions, and manage epidurals.
Circulate C-sections and manage newborn transitions post-delivery.
Administer and titrate medications such as Magnesium, Pitocin, Insulin, and Blood transfusions.
Collaborate with OB Techs, Neonatologists, and Anesthesiologists to ensure safe and efficient care.
Support patients with high-risk pregnancies, including hypertensive cases and those with minimal prenatal care.
Maintain accurate charting in EPIC and follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios.
Float to NICU, Peds/Women’s, MedSurg, or ICU if needed, based on patient acuity.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
License: Active RN License
Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from Yuma, AZ 85364.
