Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing medications for patients who reside in long-term care facilities.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in packing medications, including minimal non-sterile compounding.
- Grouping the packed medications so they can be delivered to the long-term care facilities.
- Various duties essential to proper function of a long-term care pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
- Participate in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
- Previous experience in a long-term care setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to consistently show up and work during your scheduled shifts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a closed-door pharmacy.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for ensuring patient safety and compliance with pharmacy laws.
- The ability to self-start and work independently are required.
