Position Description
Position Title: Weatherization Assistance Manager
Reports To: Housing Supervisor
Classification: Full Time / Non-Exempt
Status: Variable Salary
Range: $45,000 - $60,000 Annual Salary
Date: January 15, 2025
Summary/Objective: This position will provide direction and oversite for weatherization activities within the agency. Position will coordinate weatherization funded programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local guidelines. Position manages and supervises energy auditors, quality control inspectors, crews, and contractors to ensure all installations, equipment, materials, and procedures meet program requirements. Position provides high-level administrative and operational support, including handling information requests, managing program data, tracking key metrics, preparing reports, and facilitating effective internal and external communications.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for daily operations of Weatherization Services Programs as assigned by the Housing Supervisor.
- Coordinates recruitment of energy auditors, quality control inspectors, crews, and contractors.
- Completes all paperwork with efficiency and accuracy in regard to Agency and Weatherization program policies.
- Keeps current on all governmental and contractual regulations, procedures, and systems as they relate to program management and implementation.
- Responsible for coordinating assigned programs with community resources.
- Provides essential training and direction for volunteers and staff regarding program activities.
- Maintain all programmatic and client confidentiality standards.
- Assists clients in attaining agency service; provides opportunities and resources during initial contact and appointment setting.
- Assists clients during in-taking process and in completion of necessary applications and paperwork.
- Assists in determining client eligibility for services within the Housing Services portfolio based on stakeholder and agency guidelines.
- Maintains hard copy and/or digital records of client eligibility and services as programmatically required.
- Attain and maintain certifications as required by programmatic stakeholders.
- Stays current on all regulations, systems, and procedures as related to the Community Service Program and Housing Services Program portfolio(s).
- Communicates with internal staff at all levels.
- Coordinates and completes project-based work.
- Other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.

- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Work Environment: Lifting of required equipment pertaining to program needs. Otherwise, normal office and jobsite conditions exist. This job operates in a professional environment, in off-site venues and outside event areas. Role routinely uses standard office equipment along with general construction equipment.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required.
Travel: Moderate travel required. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience: Associates degree in human/social sciences and/or certifications in building trade(s), housing, weatherization, or energy efficiency related field preferred. GED with 5 years relevant and equivalent work experience accepted. Three plus years of successful work, and experience with volunteer or non-profit organization preferred. Certifications: Quality Control Inspector, Energy Auditor, Crew Leader, and Retro-Fit Installer are highly desirable.
