Allegany Hospitality Company operates in the scenic Allegany State Park , known for its beautiful views, wildlife, and wonderful activities. There are two areas for you to explore, Red House and Quaker. Both areas can be enjoyed with picnic areas, museums, hiking trails, biking, and more.
This is a seasonal position and the anticipated first day of work is in May 2025 and the last day is estimated to be in November 2025.
Maintenance Utility
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment in a safe and timely manner when directed by management
- Ensure that grounds are always neat and well maintained, by utilizing mowers, trimmers, and other appliances in a safe and effective manner as necessary and directed
- Ensure recycling efforts are consistent, on-time and handled according to the company’s environmental processes
- Ensure that all public areas, including restrooms, are always properly sanitized and cleaned while maintaining adequate stock of required supplies
- Regularly inspect the business grounds and building to identify maintenance needs and report to them to manager
- Actively participate in creating a positive work environment and promote teamwork
- Maintain customer service standards responding to all requests / complaints to minimize / solve problems in a timely and safe manner
- Work safely to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Follow all health, safety standards, security guidelines, policies, and initiatives
- All other duties as may be assigned
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Must be able to work independently and complete a daily list of assigned tasks with little or no supervision
- Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment. Position involves frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must have a valid drivers license for operating company vehicle within the park.
- Must be 18 years of age
Education & Experience
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Two (2) years facility maintenance experience
Knowledge of safe work practices (OSHA)
Hourly rate: $16.00
