At Allegany Mountain Equestrian, our mission is to help our students learn to excel with their horsemanship skills and experience comprehensive personal development, through the use of mounted and unmounted instruction.
We are a unique riding school geared towards helping riders embrace a passion in horses, through a levels based curriculum using natural horsemanship methods to connect with the horse. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming community of fun, upbeat, and drama free enthusiastic equestrians! Our quickly growing lesson program has room for growth for the right candidate.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced horse person who is obsessed with horses, children, and sharing your passion! You should be a great conversationalist and an upbeat, cheerful person. You should be organized, responsible, reliable, and fun loving. We expect our candidates to be trainable and open minded to the way we do things, and we will be the same to you.
Requirements for this position are:
Reliable transportation.
Afternoon/evening and Saturday availability.
Room for growth! We are a growing, high-energy business, and the open position has the potential to evolve into a rewarding long term career for an equally driven candidate.
You will be responsible for teaching introductory and up riding lessons on our well schooled lesson horses, using our curriculum and lesson plans to accompany your equestrian experiences.
You will be required to help with some basic stable management and horse care from time to time. You will need to lead unmounted group horsemanship classes at times as well.
Your availability includes weekends and weekday afternoons and evenings.
