Alleghenies Unlimited Care Providers is currently seeking a Full-time Transportation Manager who is looking to make a difference in the lives of our community members every day.
Our transportation department fosters independence, well-being, and quality of life for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, the aging, and those who need accessible transportation to medical appointments, work, day programs, and within the community for recreation purposes.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a collaborative and communicative leader who understands the value of leading from behind to allow the program to be front and center. They will be a strategic, tactical, and entrepreneurial leader with the ability to develop, articulate, and implement the vision for the department’s next chapter of organizational growth. The Transportation Manager will have the ability to engender trust in the staff through a collaborative management style, help them achieve their potential, and hold them accountable.
The ideal candidate must possess experience in leading transformative change within a program/organization and be willing to bring a creative, solutions-oriented approach to challenges regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion. They will also possess demonstrated, measurable experience in improving processes and systems, as well as the ability to embody a service-orientated approach to partnerships beyond our organization.

The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma/GED equivalent, or degree in social and human services with two (2) years professional experience in the field, two (2) years working with and encouraging staff while ensuring goal-related outcomes, a valid PA driver’s license, and willingness to follow program requirements including: background checks, driver history check, physical exam, and drug screen. Experience with vehicle maintenance or fleet management is a plus.
