About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Piping Design Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical piping systems for various industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for customer approval and shop fabrication.
- Develop mechanical layouts of modular process piping systems based on specific industry and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Electrical Engineers on conduit/wire way layout and electrical panel access requirements.
- Analyze project specifications, design instructions, layout plans, flow diagrams, and P&IDs to determine scope of work.
- Detail-oriented, with strong knowledge of design fundamentals, drafting standards, and fabrication processes.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Assist estimators by providing preliminary piping and structural layouts.
- Responsible for self-checking work produced for completeness and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in 3D CAD design or Bachelor's in Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of related industry experience, with previous piping design experience required.
- Proficient in 3D modeling using parametric CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
