Summary of Position
The Grants Administrator, under the leadership of the Director of Foundation & Corporate Relations, helps facilitate the college’s comprehensive program for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding grants to the college from foundations, federal and state government agencies, and corporations. This role provides pre- and post-award administrative support.

As the Grants Administrator, you will:
- The Grants Administrator, under the leadership of the Director of Foundation & Corporate Relations, helps facilitate the college’s comprehensive program for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding grants to the college from foundations, federal and state government agencies, and corporations. This role provides pre- and post-award administrative support.
- Guides faculty and administrators to ensure they understand and follow proposal and report submission procedures. Works with grant recipients to ensure that proposal activities and expenditures align with both funder and college policies; provides technological assistance as needed.
- Helps prepare letters of inquiry, proposals, reports and reallocation requests for submission to foundations, government agencies and corporations. Reviews and interprets guidelines to ensure compliance with college policies, funder requirements and federal regulations. Serves as FCR office lead for submission of proposals, reports and other communications.
- Administrates stewardship for grants and selected scholarships funded by foundations, government agencies and corporations. Administrates grant acknowledgment procedures and drafts acknowledgment letters to foundations, corporations and individual donors. Coordinates site visits and travel to and from foundation and agency representatives.
- Establishes a master schedule to ensure timely submission of proposals, reports, etc. Schedules electronic reminders for key deadlines. Manages the FCR office to-do list; schedules all meetings and events for which FCR is responsible. Manages reporting and tracking of all proposals in RENXT.
- Maintains institutional accounts and passwords for electronic submissions, including grants.gov, research.gov and others. Manages file organization. Responds to inquiries. Works with Contract Manager to review grant agreements and contract materials. Coordinates signing of proposals, grant agreements and reports by an authorized organizational representative (President, Provost, CFO, etc.).
- Utilizes Candid and other tools to identify funding opportunities for college initiatives and faculty and administrative projects, and assists with research related to the preparation of proposals and solicitations

Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required but will consider years experience in high education and grant experience relations in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-3 years of relative experience to the position essential functions
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Experience with office administration (word processing, filing, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively in a highly collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated and extensive problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to build relationships and foster relationship development

We support institutional priorities including capital improvements, curricular and faculty development, individual faculty research, student development programs and scholarships.

YOUR COMPENSATION
New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
This is an exempt position and the starting salary range for this position is $50,000 annually.
