ROLE TITLE: Programming Director for the Community Impact Hub
Summary of Position
The Programming Director for the Community Impact Hub at Allegheny College will support the implementation of community-based initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in Meadville, PA and creating hands-on learning opportunities for students. The Project Coordinator will assist with coordinating Impact Teams, organizing community projects, and providing administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth operation of the CIH. This role will also involve working closely with students, faculty, and community partners to support capacity-building efforts and community-engaged learning and research projects
As Programming Director for the Community Impact Hub, you will:
· Manage daily operations of the Community Impact Hub: Ensure smooth operation of CIH and its related activities and achievement of key CIH outcomes through oversight of various communications (newsletters, website, social media) and public presentations and supervision of support personnel
· Support Impact Team coordination & the Community Project Grant process: Facilitate coordination of and communications with/between CIH Impact Teams and Advisory Board to ensure alignment of projects with CIH goals. Oversee the grant application process, including creating guidelines, reviewing submissions, and assisting applicants with proposal preparation. Provide regular guidance to grantees, monitor project progress and achievement of project timelines, and ensure successful implementation and adherence to reporting requirements. Seek additional funding to grow the grant program and support more community-driven projects.
· Develop, facilitate, and maintain collaborations with faculty and community partnerships: Work with Allegheny College faculty (grant PI, Director of Undergraduate Research, etc.) to organize and maintain the Community-Based Research (CBR) summer program, which includes the need to foster new and strengthen existing community partnerships in order to implement and evaluate student projects. Oversight of the CBR program also includes a During the academic year, assist the grant PI in facilitating partnerships with community engaged (“E”) courses.
· Data collection & reporting: Assist with data collection, evaluation, and reporting of CIH projects, including developing reports on project outcomes and impacts. Maintain a centralized database for tracking community projects, student participation, and partner engagement.
· Develop and oversee professional development opportunities: Assist in organizing capacity-building workshops, technical support, and professional development programs for local nonprofits, students, staff, and faculty. Provide ongoing support for capacity-building initiatives such as grant writing workshops, mentorship programs, and technical training sessions.
Experience and Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree required, and 3-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Successful performance in program development, and project coordination

YOUR COMPENSATION
New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
The expected minimum salary range starting point for this position is $54,000 annually.
