Allegheny Contracting is now hiring for a Mechanic position located in Ridgway, PA. Qualified candidates will be considered based on meeting the following criteria:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and repair heavy equipment and trucks as well as light duty trucks an equipment
- Able to pick up 50lbs
- Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and stretch for long periods of time while working
- Some welding and fabrication
- Walk and work on uneven ground, requiring stable footing
- Diagnose operational difficulties experienced by several brands and types of equipment
- Ability to trouble shoot and identify issues and fix them quickly and efficiently
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior mechanic experience
- Inspection license
- Must be able to use all tools and equipment necessary to perform work assignments
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the job stated above
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic mathematics and computer skills
- Recognize and follow company procedures and policies
- Ability to operate all products and models of our equipment
- Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Clean background check
- CDL preferred but not required
Salary : $20 - $30
