- Reviews, analyzes and interprets field sampling results and laboratory analysis, and makes recommendations concerning further field investigations and studies.
- Develops program plans, prepares and/or supervises the preparation of reports directed.
- Coordinates work of Air Quality compliance activities such as asbestos abatement, abrasive blasting, open burn, complaint response, etc.
- Evaluates permit applications for completion, accuracy, and compliance with Federal, State, and County regulations as they relate to asbestos, abrasive blasting, and open burning.
- Supports Air Quality Manager with EPA tracking system by ensuring all compliance monitoring activities are performed by the agreed timelines; tracking high priority violators; and ensuring minimum data requirements are met.
- Analyzes and interprets environmental health data to inform evidence-based decisions involving compliance with all applicable air regulations.
- Makes recommendations to the Air Quality Manager about compliance, enforcement, and other actions needed to resolve documented non-compliant conditions.
- Responds to Public Health emergencies as assigned by the Health Department
- Performs other duties as required or requested
