What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at Allegheny Educational Systems?
Responsibilities:
· Gain a thorough understanding of our product line in order to effectively act as a liaison between customers, sales representatives, and the company.
· Analyze customer accounts and identify opportunities to make improvements that positively impact the customer experience. Make product and/or service recommendations to customers based on these analyses.
· Manage the daily functionality of the customer support department, ensure quality of daily service and performance objectives.
· Promote products and services to existing customers and generate sales.
· Assist with the placement of orders, return, and refunds. Provide support to the Outside Sales team.
· Represent the business to clients and visitors through professional phone and face-to-face interaction. Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction, clarify information, and work to provide solutions to issues.
Education/Certification Requirements:
· Associate’s degree in business or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
Experience, Skill, & Other Requirements:
· Minimum two (2) years of progressive inside sales/customer service experience in a distribution setting.
· Ability to work independently, strong judgment and decision making skills, mechanical aptitude, and outstanding communication skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook, and prior experience with a CRM system strongly preferred.
