What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Manager position at Allegheny Educational Systems?
Digital Marketing:
- Discover ways to enhance the company's website through creative landing pages, posts, and SEO optimization.
- Improve user experience by supporting updates of website.
- Support SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, digital ad displays.
- Support and update lead to opportunity process, data management within system to ensure data integrity. Support campaigns through system campaigns to support various marketing initiatives.
- Support website updates as product updates happen.
- Monitors social media community engagement and supports with organic posts.
Content Marketing/ Design:
- Copywriting: Write and maintaining currency of all copy for marketing materials and channels: email newsletters, web copy, social media, catalog guides, cut sheets and flyers.
- Work closely with the sales and tech teams to set pipeline of topics to cover drive marketing content calendar.
- Events: Assists in the preparation and implementation of marketing and sales events such as trade shows, customer meetings and the demo center. Including registration, email campaign, social, collateral, giveaways, and booth.
- Sales Support: Communicate and work closely with salespeople to provide support for miscellaneous marketing and sales requests.
Demand Generation / Email Marketing:
- Revamping all direct mail / email campaigns including:
- Support back end set up of e-mail campaigns, i.e. building templates in system, creating campaign-specific lead forms.
- Overseeing drip campaigns when name is captured.
- Providing ongoing newsletter/ communication to current users/names already in database based on what content a user has accessed or expressed interest in.
- Providing additional and news-based content.
- Create all life cycle emails such as - annual renewal emails and end of life/support emails.
- Create & maintain templates in system.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience in marketing communications, PR, copy editing, and/or writing marketing materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with high academic credentials. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or PR a plus.
- Experience in educational publishing, edtech, teaching, or in a related high school or higher education environment.
- Superb communication skills.
- Superior writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Ability to design in Adobe Creative Suite or similar tool.
- Ability to interact with sales, experts, and senior management.
- Experience with digital publishing and editorial workflows.
- Flexible, positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Good sense of humor.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, balancing multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
