Job Duties
As System Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery, you will provide strategic leadership, oversee clinical operations, lead the recruitment of new faculty and foster a culture of excellence in patient care, research, and education. Reporting to the System Chair of the Surgical Institute, your responsibilities will include :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to advance the department's clinical programs, research initiatives, and educational endeavors across the entire network footprint spanning from Western PA to Erie and Western New York.
- Clinical Oversight : Oversee the clinical activities of the 9 Surgeon colorectal surgery division ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
- Physician Leadership : Mentor and support a team of highly skilled colorectal surgeons, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Research & Innovation : Encourage and support research activities, leveraging the department's strong research infrastructure and collaboration with Drexel University School of Medicine
- Community Engagement : Represent the department and AHN within the medical community and broader community.
- Shared Call.
