About the Position:
The Long-Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist will join our Special Education department, playing a vital role in delivering high-quality services to students with speech and language impairments. This position requires a highly skilled and compassionate professional who can adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize the needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' eligibility for speech-language services and recommend suitable service delivery models.
- Collaborate with MDTs and IEP teams to ensure compliance with regulations and develop comprehensive evaluation reports, re-evaluation reports, and IEPs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic services to support students' academic success and social-emotional growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, prepare regular reports, and ensure timely completion of mandated paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to ensure seamless program implementation and student support.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Certification in Special Education, Speech and Language Impaired K-12
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or Clinical Fellowship Year option in Speech Pathology (desired)
- Experience working with school-age populations (preferable)
