Job Summary
As an Underground Mining Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mining facilities. You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to underground mining, including reporting on time, exhibiting a positive attitude, and maintaining safety equipment and apparel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform work safely and competently
• Maintain and utilize proper safety equipment and apparel
• Perform pre-operational equipment checks
• Check roof and rib conditions in work areas
• Check cables and haulage way
• Maintain all training and certifications as required by the company and/or state and federal law
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Qualified per Allegheny Met training guidelines
• Valid underground mining certification
• Ability to understand direction from supervisors and safety personnel
• Ability to interpret safety signs and training material
