Job Requirements
To be successful as an Underground Mining Professional, you will need to have a strong foundation in underground mining practices and procedures. You should be able to understand and follow instructions, work well in a team environment, and maintain a safe and healthy working condition.
Essential Duties:
• Report on time as scheduled
• Perform work safely and competently
• Maintain and utilize proper safety equipment and apparel
• Perform pre-operational equipment checks
• Frequently check roof and rib conditions in work areas
• Check cables and haulage way
• Maintain all training and certifications as required by the company and/or state and federal law
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to walk, talk, see, and hear
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects such as tools or controls
• Stand, sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
