Summary:
Allegheny Partners is a boutique management firm in Roanoke, Virginia. We are partners in comprehensive asset and property management. We are looking for a Property Accountant to join our growing team.
The Property Accountant performs daily bookkeeping and accounting functions for various properties and customers, assists with monthly closing activity, and runs semi monthly payroll.
Responsibilities:
· Back-fill for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensure accurate coding and review general ledger
· Reconcile inter-company accounts, assigned bank accounts, and assigned balance sheet accounts
· Payroll Management including timely tax filing, assists with benefits management
· Compile monthly and quarterly financial reports
· Month end close and assigned adjusting journal entries
· Monthly sales tax report and remittance
· 1099, W2 preparation
· Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
· Assists in external auditing requests
·Job and Direct Labor Costing
·Assigned balance sheet account reconciliations
·Support parent company accounting as assigned, other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Qualifications
· At least three years of full-charge bookkeeping experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibilities
· Strong work ethic and integrity
· Detail oriented with excellent analytical abilities
· Proficiency with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite
· Payroll, AP, and AR experience required
· Bachelors degree preferred
· Ability to work with limited supervision
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience working in a small business office
