Pest Control Technician

$18.00 - $22.00 an hour PLUS production commission PLUS potential annual bonus!

Allegheny Pest Control is looking for a hardworking, dependable Pest Control Technician to join our growing locally owned business! The ideal candidate would be willing to learn, honest and trustworthy, and a people-person who is excited to interact with a multitude of residential and commercial clients.

No previous pest control experience required – we provide all necessary training and licensing! This entry level opportunity will allow you to grow and develop in the Pest Control world and take part in the excitement of a growing small business.

As a Pest Control Technician with Allegheny Pest Control, you will:

• Maintain scheduled weekly service routes in the Greater Pittsburgh Area independently
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with clients – convey findings, discuss and explain treatment options, and guide them thoughtfully through the process
• Maintain the utmost professionalism when on the road and in clients’ homes
• Carefully administer all treatments in accordance with the latest Pest Control standards, with the same care you would in your own home
• Safely operate, maintain, and care for the provided company vehicle
• Accurately complete required paperwork/notes to ensure accurate invoicing and records
• Compy with all safety regulations and continuing education requirements

Position Requirements include:

• At least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• A Valid US Driver's License
• Background Check, Clean Driving Record, and Drug Screen Required
• Ability to successfully complete state pesticide applicator licensing process
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Ability to work with stinging and/or biting pests
• Demonstrated attention to detail to process paperwork and take quality notes
• Possess basic math and writing skills
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to safely handle, mix, and apply pesticides and the chemicals associated with them
