Allegheny Science & Technology (AST) is seeking a Project Monitor to support U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP) Project Management, Technical and Program Support Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is $60,000 - $83,000.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides engineering, technical, and operational leadership support for active projects.
- Monitors projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
- Performs technical evaluations to identify corrective actions as needed and recommends refined project requirements.
- Coordinates with applicable stakeholders and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
- May conduct performance/project analysis during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/programs.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years or more related experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree; master's degree in a related field may substitute two (2) years of experience.
- Experience in problem-solving and experience with the Federal Government, preferably with DOE.
- Experience with policies, functional requirements, regulatory compliance support, and capabilities related to briefing and presentation support, document review and evaluation, program evaluation support, document preparation support, and meeting support.
- Experience with financial assistance documentation disciplines and financial tracking systems.
- Experience in documentation disciplines, includes, but is not limited to, technical writing, editing, layout, document development and production, and desktop publishing.
- Possesses a basic knowledge of modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other economic disciplines and can utilize them in determining solutions.
- Experience in applying operational research principles to investigate, analyze, plan, develop, implement, or evaluate systems.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
