Role: Civil Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team in Bayshore, NY, specializing in public works projects within the civil and heavy highway sector. Responsibilities:
· Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil and heavy highway projects, ensuring compliance with all public sector requirements.
· Analyze project specifications, drawings, and proposals to identify labor, material, and time requirements.
· Collaborate with project managers and engineers to refine estimates and ensure alignment with project goals.
· Identify potential risks and opportunities in the estimating process.
· Manage bid proposals and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for pricing.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as an Estimator in the public works sector, with a focus on civil and heavy highway projects.
· Strong knowledge of industry practices, local regulations, and public sector project requirements.
· Proficiency in estimating software and strong skills in Excel.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
