Full-Time Lobby Consumer and Mortgage Loan Officer
Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
***Occasional nights and weekends***

Role:
The Consumer and Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for gathering the required information to accurately complete consumer loan applications and adhere to the credit union lending policies and regulations. This position will provide exceptional member service and always project a positive and friendly image for the credit union through interactions with members and co-workers. Attendance is an essential function of performing the duties of this job.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
35% -Interviews and interacts with, and actively listens to loan applicants and ensures that complete, accurate information and documentation are received from and provided to applicants prior to forwarding the application to underwriter. Explains loan options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements. Communicate loan decisions and conditions to the member. Provides financial counseling so that a "no" is presented as "not yet".
25% - Actively seeks out opportunities to enhance the members’ experience by recognizing and presenting additional loan opportunities or offering products and services that would improve the members’ financial lives.
20% - Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to member. Cross-sell all types of loans on a consistent basis meeting minimum requirements; cross-sell loan products to include vehicle warranties, GAP, loan protection products meeting minimum requirements.
10% - Staff community events within the Community, including occasional nights and weekends. This would include but not be limited to events by non-profit organizations, schools, and chamber organizations.
5% - Assists members and potential members with their in-person, telephone, video, and online requests; answers questions about lending products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve; refers problems beyond authority, along with recommendations, to supervisor.
5% - Performs other related duties as assigned.
