Are you an experienced MEP Director with a strong background in healthcare and life sciences construction? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the execution of complex MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems for critical healthcare and life sciences projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, compliant systems that support medical and scientific facilities.
As the MEP Director for Healthcare & Life Sciences, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and execution of all MEP systems for large-scale healthcare and life sciences projects. This leadership role involves managing teams, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with stringent healthcare and regulatory standards. You’ll play a key role in delivering state-of-the-art facilities that enhance patient care, research, and scientific advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems for healthcare and life sciences projects, ensuring the systems meet performance, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from design coordination through to execution, ensuring integration of MEP systems within the overall construction framework.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing relationships, and ensuring that all project goals and client expectations are met.
- Direct teams of engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and projects are executed safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare and life science industry regulations, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and other relevant codes.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, proactively identifying and addressing challenges to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure MEP systems align with the broader construction objectives and operational needs.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Promote the use of innovative technologies and sustainable practices to enhance system performance and reduce environmental impact.
Experience Required:
- Extensive experience in managing MEP systems for healthcare and life sciences construction, with a deep understanding of the specific regulatory standards in these sectors.
- Proven experience leading large-scale construction projects, including overseeing budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare and life sciences regulatory standards, including infection control, cleanroom requirements, and environmental controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities with a focus on delivering client satisfaction.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
