We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate will have experience with MRP systems, basic math skills, and be familiar with shipping and receiving processes.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the contents
- Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper labeling.
-Send/receive ASN as required utilizing GM’s MGO system
- Generate shipping labels and documentation using AS400 or similar software
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and update system records
- Operate reach trucks or other equipment to move materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking and stock replenishment as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficiency in using MRP systems for inventory management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
- Experience with packaging materials and techniques
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar software for generating shipping labels and documentation
- Knowledge of RF scanners for inventory tracking
- Ability to operate reach trucks or other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills to manage incoming and outgoing shipments effectively
