Allegiance Staffing is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our client's dynamic team in York, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the smooth flow of goods within our facility.
You will be using the following lifts:
- Sit down forklift (Toyota)
- Stand up forklift (Crown)
- Deep reach (Crown)
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory and ensuring accurate order picking.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and properly stored.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist in building pallets and organizing products in the warehouse for optimal space utilization.
- Engage in materials handling activities, including moving heavy items safely throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts; certification preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards related to forklift operation and workplace safety.
- Experience in load unloading, order picking, and shipping receiving processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the role.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
