We are currently seeking a Commercial Landscaping Spray Tech to work in the Leesburg area. Full-time, temp to hire position.
As a Spray Technician 1 you will be a working team member responsible for delivering and maintaining a healthy dynamic appearance for a variety of turf, shrubs, and trees at different locations. This includes using quality products, sound direction and safe techniques. The Spray Technician reports to a Fert / Chem Superintendent or Horticulture Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemical and fertilizer applications on assigned high-profile properties.
- Scout properties beyond assigned needs for any issues. Report to Manager for direction to treat while on-site or future scheduling.
- Follow all local, state, and federal guidelines specific to fertilizers, pesticides, and chemicals. Maintain required documentation.
- Maintain a safe, organized, clean work vehicle.
- Complete a pre-trip inspection report on vehicle, trailers, and equipment daily to ensure proper use and safety, communicate with Manager regarding any potential problems or issues.
- Meet budget for time and materials.
- Accurately track all hours worked using Crew Mobile for job coding and paycheck submission.
- Provide clear communications back to Managers as to completed tasks and relay any items / issues seen while on property.
- Communicate any worker injuries immediately to the Manager or YL Office.
- Contribute to our safety culture by attending and actively participating in weekly safety trainings. Follow company safety protocols, identify, and communicate safety issues to the team.
