Job Description

Material Handler position open now for a local Steel manufacturer.

Material Handler Schedule :

Mon-Friday from 7 : 00 am – 4 : 00 pm.

Material Handler Responsibilities :

Preparations for loading may include such activities as banding, palletizing, shrink wrapping, containerizing or a combination of each.

Most of the work is conducted in a warehouse on a daily basis to pull metal products required to fill customer orders.

Requires visual and tactile inspections of metal products.

Climbing on top of the material stacks is required to make inspections or prepare material for extraction.

Some physical liftin is required on a daily basis.

Most material lifting is done with cranes and / or with the assistance of material handling equipment.

Unassisted lifting of objects, generally no greater than 40lbs may be required.

Other duties might be assigned.

Material Handler Qualifications :

Previous material handling experience.

Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions.

Must be able to lift 40lbs.

We use a color code to identify some material

Demonstrated ability to coherently speak and write in the English language.

Steel service center experience is a plus.

High school Diploma or Equivalent.

Must be able to handle the pressure of working in a fast-paced environment.

Able to multitask and pay close attention to details.

Material Handler Pay :

17.00 per hour paid weekly.
