Allegiance Staffing has a need for first and second shift material handlers with forklift experience (sit down and stand up) for immediate openings with a food production company newly located in Lancaster PA. The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and handling of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods throughout the production facility.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to perform well on any of the assigned tasks. The candidate

by teamwork and easily works cross functionally. This role ensures that materials are available for
production when needed, while also maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Load, unload, and move raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, and finished products within the
manufacturing facility.
o Transport materials between storage areas and production lines, ensuring timely delivery to meet
production schedules.
o Use forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.
I nventory Management :
o Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records by tracking materials received, moved, and consumed.
o Perform regular cycle counts of materials and supplies to verify inventory levels.
o Report inventory discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor and assist in resolving them.
Receiving and Shipping :
o Receive deliveries of raw materials and packaging supplies, verifying quantities against purchase orders
and inspecting for damage.
o Prepare and load finished goods for shipment, ensuring accurate documentation and safe handling.
o Assist in maintaining organized loading docks and warehouse areas.
Production Support :
o Stage materials for production batches according to specified recipes and production schedules.
o Ensure proper labeling and storage of raw materials and finished products to prevent contamination and
ensure traceability.
o Collaborate with production teams to ensure material availability and prevent delays in manufacturing
processes.
Compliance and Safety :
o Follow all company safety policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
and adhering to food safety standards.
o Ensure materials are stored in compliance with food safety regulations, including proper temperature
and sanitation requirements.
o Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance :
o Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
o Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on material handling equipment, reporting any
maintenance needs to the supervisor.
o Maintain a clean and organized work area, including warehouse and storage locations.
Documentation :
o Complete and maintain accurate records of material movements, including receiving, transferring, and
shipping logs.
o Assist with preparing documentation required for audits, inspections, or inventory tracking.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred,
particularly in material handling or inventory control roles.
Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP) is highly desirable.
2 years experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certifications required).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory management.
Basic math and computer skills for recording and tracking inventory.
Ability to work in exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and noise.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform
repetitive task
Adherence to strict safety protocols is essential to prevent accidents and ensure compliance
with food safety regulations.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with codes, regulations, SQF, HAACP, OHSAS and other relevant standards.
Team-oriented and self-directed.
Strong communication in English and interpersonal skills
PAY RATE : $23-$24.50 / hour
SHIFT : 1st shift and 2nd shift, permanent opportunities
