Allegiance Staffing has permanent opportunities available on 1st, 2nd AND 3rd shifts for experienced QA Technicians with our food production client located in Lancaster, PA. The QA Technician reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and collects data that supports the Quality Assurance program. The ideal candidate will have proven ability to perform well on any of the assigned tasks. The candidate will be a quality-focused individual who is passionate and driven to deliver best in class performance and continuously improves what and how we do our work to ensure business success. This role is responsible for monitoring operational procedures, evaluating products / materials, recording data, and reporting quality concerns.
Pay Range : $23.00-$26.50 / hour Depending on Shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Assurance :
o Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process at scheduled intervals.
o Document product test results and report non-conformances to the Quality Supervisor.
o Ensure ALL employees are following Food and Employee safety procedures with the responsibility to
correct or report lapses as needed.
o Document soiled tools and equipment for review and correction with the sanitation department.
Compliance and Documentation :
o Adhere to company record keeping protocols and industry regulations.
o Maintain detailed records of product / material inspections, HACCP-related checks, non-conforming
materials, facility inspections, shift change reports, and quality concerns.
Equipment and Supplies :
o Operate testing equipment includes thermometers, refractometers, sodium and salt meters, and pH
readers.
o Collect Environmental and Product samples for in-house and third-party testing.
o Monitor inventory levels of QA laboratory supplies.
Safety and Health :
o Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
o Report and address safety hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA and GMP standards.
Collaboration :
o Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the front office personnel, sanitation staff,
production staff, and USDA / FDA Inspectors.
o Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding quality issues and concerns.
o Document quality concerns or non-conformances in shift notes, then communicate observations to the
QA technician for the subsequent shift.

Develop the skills and competencies of QA by participating in trainings (internal and external)
and learning on the job.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience in a food processing or laboratory environment.
Able to maintain a positive attitude within a team environment.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Be effective in pressure situations.
Have schedule flexibility with potential for night and weekend shifts.
Bilingual- English / Spanish not required, but a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
HACCP, SQF, GMP, PCQI certifications
Aseptic processing experience
Previous experience in a quality department or executing quality procedures
