Job Title : Quality Inspector – 1st Shift
Location : Kings Mountain, NC
Schedule : Mon-Friday, Sat 6 : 00am – 4 : 30pm (Saturday as production dictates and OT as needed)
Pay : $18.00 per hour
What You Will Do
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in in-process and final inspections of completed products, ensuring that customers receive zero-defect parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Monitor overall product quality daily.
Use a variety of subjective and objective Quality Assessment techniques to ensure products meet customer form, fit, and function requirements.
Utilize measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, and specialized go / no-go gauges).
Inspect completed products, ensuring customer specifications and zero defects are met.
Identify and document nonconforming products, initiate corrective actions, and problem-solve issues.
Ensure repairs and rework are completed correctly.
Input inspection results into the system and prepare products for shipping.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times.
Follow and promote safety policies and quality procedures.
Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to improve performance and customer service.
Education and Experience Requirements :
Education : High school diploma or GED with math and reading comprehension.
Experience : Knowledge of standard manufacturing inspection techniques is required.
Mathematical Skills : Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work with both Metric and English systems (meters, centimeters, inches, and feet).
Detail-Oriented : Strong ability to recognize product features such as surface finishes, hole patterns, and fitment to ensure conformity with customer requirements.
Certificates & Licenses : None required, but continuing education and certification through ASQ is encouraged.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Overhead lifting may be required.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
